As part of its “Policy Guide for a Resilient Creative Sector” published this year, UNESCO highlighted the Solidarity Fund for African Artists and Cultural Organizations (SOFACO) initiated by ACF in May 2020, in its list of “good practices” implemented in Africa to fight against the ravages of Covid-19 on the cultural sector.
This guide aims to provide an overview of the range of emergency measures adopted by States to support culture workers, institutions and industries, and to provide a tool to strengthen the resilience of the sector during this global pandemic.
