The African Culture Fund (ACF) is initiating a roundtable, in partnership with the ACP-EU Culture program: Support for the cultural and creative sectors in West Africa – AWA and the Biennale of Dakar (Dak’Art) on the sidelines of the 2022 edition, which will be held from May 19 to June 21, 2022, to discuss the theme: “What innovative and creative mechanisms for the resilience and funding of cultural and creative industries in West Africa?”.
Discussions will focus on the following topics in particular:
- What successful funding mechanisms to inspire the cultural financing system in Africa?
- What is the role of governance and of the private sector in culture funding in Africa?
- How to further support the viability and resilience of cultural and creative industries in West Africa?
The Roundtable will take place on Monday, May 23, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the African Renaissance Monument (Dakar).
