The African Culture Fund (ACF), in collaboration with Bandjoun Station, is launching a new call for applications from October 1st to October 30th, 2024 aimed at young visual artists from Cameroon. This initiative is part of the shared goal of both institutions to promote the emergence and professionalization of young talent in the field of visual arts in Africa. Through this program, ACF and Bandjoun Station aim to offer a unique opportunity to young creators to access a platform for artistic expression, specialized training, and rich and diverse cultural exchanges.

Aware of the challenges faced by young African artists, such as the lack of technical means, difficulty accessing professional networks, and a shortage of spaces dedicated to creation, ACF and Bandjoun Station not only aim to provide tangible support to these young talents but also accompany them in their creative process and professional integration. This program stands out for its holistic approach, combining artistic practice with specialized training, creative residencies, and meetings with national and international artists.

By launching this call for applications, ACF and Bandjoun Station reaffirm their commitment to the growth of cultural and creative industries in Africa, while offering young Cameroonian visual artists a platform to assert their artistic identity and contribute to the cultural influence of the continent.
